The Expo
The goal of BlogOnExpo is to make the experience of attending an industry conference available to all. With prices reaching up to $1000 to attend a conference, when conference passes and travel experiences are taken into consideration, it is no surprise that attending a conference is out of many people’s budgets. Hence, we have attempted to recreate the conference experience online, where the same information can be accessed for free.
BlogOnExpo is a conference covering the topic of blogging. Our first expo launched on January 15th and was a great success drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors. The expo features sessions from some of the leaders in the blogging community, as well as an exhibit hall, and forum for discussion. The next conference is set to launch this summer.
As you may have noticed, BlogOnExpo is also a social media site that tracks the most talked about blogging/online business stories of the day. Anyone can submit a story and stories are ranked based on the number of comments they receive. After a few days, the story is added to the archives so the homepage always stays fresh.
